Victor PASMORE Idea for Davide (Mixed Media)  (1990)

Original mixed media work. Painting mounted on wood over a second wooden board with a painted dot. Signed with initials VP in paint in the centre of the painting. Shares similarities with the screenprint Untitled 11 (lime-green) made in a limited edition of 30 in 1991 (see final photo opposite). Made at 2RC Edizioni d'Arte, Rome, the printmaking studios where Pasmore spent a lot of time working out ideas for his prints.

In very good condition. The frame has a few slight dings commensurate with age. Frame Size: 427 x 525mm. Full provenance via labels on the reverse and originally purchased from 2RC Edizioni d'Arte. Exhibited in a solo exhibition at the Caroline Wiseman Gallery, London called The Image In Search of Itself in 2005, with accompanying documentation.

A rare and eye-catching find and a real beauty of an artwork in vibrant green, now ready to hang on the wall. Immediately recognisable as Victor Pasmore - an irresistible purchase!

Victor Pasmore was an artist who used everything that came to hand in the studio including paper, canvas, collage, marker pens, pencils, inks and spray paints.
