Original etching on wove paper overworked by the artist with ink and watercolour washes in beige and grey. Signed Ben Nicholson in pencil and dated '68, most likely an artist's proof aside from the limited edition of 50, titled and annotated 'worked on' in pencil on the reverse by the artist. Printed by Francois Lafranca, Locarno with their blindstamp lower left and published by Ganymed Original Editions and Marlborough Fine Art, London. Referenced in LaFranca, 59. In good condition, with just the lightest traces of discolouration and handling and some paper loss to the reverse not affecting the front. A truly beautiful Ben Nicholson etching, made absolutely unique by the addition of the artist's hand colouring
