SOLD Get an Email Alert if it's listed again

Etching and aquatint from 3 steel plates in black, blue, green and orange on J Green Mouldmade paper, from the artist's Thames Suite comprising 12 different views of the River Thames 'from the upper non-tidal reaches to the tidal stretches of London and down to the Estuary'. Signed Julian Trevelyan in pencil lower right and numbered from the limited edition of 75 (there were also 15 artist's proofs) lower left. Printed by Geoffrey Beardsall and Dorothea Wight and published by London Graphics. Referenced in Turner, 223. Plate size: 470mm x 350mm.

In very good condition with extremely faint, barely noticeable matt burn (paper discolouration) around the image, the occasional very small, light mark not detracting from the image, and a slight crease to the top sheet corner. Otherwise very bright and is going to look fabulous framed up (please note: this print will arrive UNFRAMED, the last 2 photos opposite are for demonstration purposes only).

A very rare Trevelyan etching that is seldom seen at auction, almost abstract in its pared-down depiction of boats, rowers and spectators on the bank at Henley Royal Regatta with summer blue sky and floating clouds overhead.
