An oil wash and pencil on paper titled Spring Landscape. Signed, titled and dated (1972) on the reverse. Mounted with conservation-standard tabs onto the original linen backing and housed in its original silvered frame (some dings and scratches) with museum anti-reflective glass and ready to hang. In very good condition with some very minimal discolouration to the very top of the paper.

This Ben Nicholson original work was included in the exhibition Petits Formats May-July 1978 at Galerie Beyeler Basel in Switzerland, listed as exhibit number 112 in the catalogue which accompanies the work (see photos opposite) and still bears the exhibition label on the reverse. Other artists represented in Petits Formats include Picasso, Warhol, Lichtenstein, Rothko, Rodin, Giacometti, Matisse, Cezanne and many others.
