Il Fiume I from the series La Foresta, Il Fiume, La Roccia (The Forest, the River, the Rock), a portfolio of 6 lithographs in colours. Printed on Magnani di Pescia heavy wove paper, signed Sutherland in pencil, and numbered from the limited edition of 75 (there was also a special limited A-Z edition signed in red and a Roman Numeral edition of 15). Printed and published by Siro Teodorani Editore, Milan. Printed to the sheet edges, as issued. Referenced in Tassi Graham Sutherland, The Complete Graphic Work, 124.
In very good condition, a few tiny, very light stains in the white area of the print not detracting from the image, otherwise very bright and fresh and has never been framed. Please note: this print will arrive UNframed but will look superb float-framed and we can frame and deliver for an additional cost of £295.
A super eyecatching and immediately recognisable creature-themed Graham Sutherland print in gorgeous green with pops of red and yellow. There is a copy of Il Fiume I in the Tate Gallery, London.
