Printed by Kelpra Studios with their stamp to reverse and published by Malborough Fine Art Ltd. Referenced in Levinson, 230. Provenance: from the contents of Kirkton House, south Montrose, Scotland
In very good condition. Loss of ink along the very bottom of sheet edge as is usual with this print and has noticeable, even toning to reverse, not apparently affecting the front. An exquisite, beautifully proportioned John Piper print from his portfolio based on set designs for Death in Venice, a novella by Thomas Mann, set to opera by British composer Benjamin Britten with Myfanwy Piper, who wrote the libretto
