William SCOTT Brown Predominating  (1976)
Original lithograph in colours on pale cream wove paper. Signed in pencil W Scott 76 and numbered from the rare, small limited edition of 40. Printed by Curwen Studio and published by Editions Alecto with their blindstamp lower left and ink numbering to the reverse. Referenced in Archeus: William Scott, A Survey of his Prints, 54. Printed to the sheet edges, as issued.
In very good condition with some barely visible signs of handling and some paper discolouration to the reverse not affecting the front. We can provide float-mounting in a white box frame with courier delivery for an additional £300. A beautiful, subtle signed print with the artist's immediately recognisable still-life motif of the frying pan accompanied by eggs and a bowl.
Also known as 'Summer Suite with Brown Predominating', Editions Alecto lists the colours used in this print as sand, buff grey, grey and black.
