Eduardo PAOLOZZI Agile Coin Gross Decision Logic  (1970)
From ZEEP (Zero Energy Experiment Pile) a portfolio of 6 screenprints 1974-6, an untrimmed proof aside from the limited edition of 100 on Astralux BEFORE mounting onto clear acrylic sheet as the edition was. Signed Eduardo Paolozzi in black pen, dated 1970 and dedicated 'to Lyn', possibly for Lyn Haywood at Editions Alecto. Printed at Advanced Graphics and published by Petersburg Press, London. Referenced in Miles, The Complete Prints of Eduardo Paolozzi, 62. Image size: 82cm x 56.5cm.
On thick, semi-shiny paper, this 'working' proof is in fair condition, printed with uneven margins, untrimmed so complete with trim lines, small marks, occasional light stain and ink smudges with a small printers annotation in the top margin, light handling creases and barely noticeable rippling throughout, some cracks in the ink on close inspection. A wonderful eye-catching and rare print that gives us an inkling into the artist's printing processes. Like many of his other series, this porfolio was printed with different base colours - see this previously sold example in a different colourway: Zero Energy Experiment Pile.
