Eduardo PAOLOZZI Sun City (Green)  (1967)
An original screenprint from the Universal Electronic Vacuum portfolio (which contained 10 prints and one poster) printed on Saunders plain 230lb paper. Signed Eduardo Paolozzi in pencil lower right, annotated Artist's Proof, set No, 4 aside from the limited edition of 75 & 15 Artist's Proofs. Printed at Kelpra Studios, London and published by the artist and distributed by Editions Alecto in London and Pace Gallery in New York. Referenced in Miles The Complete Prints of Eduardo Paolozzi, 47. Image size: 888mm x 610mm.
In very good/excellent fresh condition with vibrant, strong colours, very minimal marking in the silver ink lower right corner (see photos) and some very minor bumping to far sheet corners and edges. An extremely rare and beautiful early 1960s print by Eduardo Paolozzi, the father of British Pop Art, from this important folio which demonstates so well the artist's interest in the interweaving of technology and popular culture. Like many Paolozzi prints, this edition was printed in different colourways, and we particularly love this green variant.
