SOLD Get an Email Alert if it's listed again

Original soft-ground etching and aquatint in colours on wove paper from Trevelyan's Thames Suite 1969). Signed Julian Trevelyan in pencil, titled Chiswick and numbered from the limited edition of 75 (there were also 15 Artist's Proofs). Published by London Graphics with their blindstamp lower left. Image size approx 465mm x 350mm. Referenced in Turner's Julian Trevelyan: Catalogue Raisonne of Prints, 219.

In good condition with strong colours and full margins. Has four small pin-hole size register marks well away from the image. We can find very few sales records and little information for this extremely scarce and beautiful image of the Thames at Chiswick, but we are reliably informed that the view pictured is from the roof of the house where Julian Trevelyan lived with his wife, the artist Mary Fedden.
