Julian TREVELYAN Windsor  (1969)
Original soft ground etching and aquatint on thick wove paper from Julian Trevelyan's Thames Suite, 12 different views of the River Thames from the upper non-tidal reaches to the tidal stretches of London and down to the Estuary. Signed Julian Trevelyan in pencil, and artist's proof aside from the limited edition of 75. Printed by Geoffrey Beardsall and Dorothea Wight, London and published by London Graphics. Referenced in Turner 230. Plate size: 350 x 480cm
In very good and bright condition with a faint indent to the paper outside of the plate-mark which does not detract from the image, very occasional light marks in the margins well away from the image, otherwise in very good condition
A charming view of Windsor from the Thames in smooth greens and greys – an absolute winner
