Printed in 3 versions in four colours, this being the turquoise & yellow version (the other versions are mauve & orange, and green & grey), signed Julian Trevelyan in pencil and numbered from the limited edition of 70 (Turner mistakenly gives the size of the edition as 75) with 25 artist's proofs. On handmade Whatman wove paper, printed by George Devenish and published by Paul Cornwall Jones. Referenced in Turner, 120. Image size: 532mm x 382mm
In fair to good condition, with noticeable marking and creasing, especially to top right sheet edge, but largely well away from the image so will mount and frame beautifully. With full margins and strong, bright colours, this is a particularly charming, rare and early Trevelyan print. We love the addition of the lucky black cat!
