Original intaglio and softground etching on hand-made Crisbrook wove paper from the For John Constable portfolio published by the Bernard Jacobson Gallery in 1976 to coincide with the Tate’s major Constable exhibition that year. Signed David Hockney in pencil, dated 1976, an artist's proof numbered from 20 (XX) proofs aside from the low limited edition of 100. Published by Bernard Jacobsen and printed by Dany Levy, London. Referenced in Scottish Arts Council, 189 and  Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo (MCAT), 175. Image size: 273 x 346 mm

In very good condition with very slight, even discolouration in the plate, the sheet possibly very slightly trimmed. A beautiful, unusual image and an extremely rare and collectable original Hockney print
